La Iglesia en el movimiento pentecostal : de un modo de 'vivir la Iglesia' a los primeros ensayos eclesiológicos

Abstract

Resumen: En una lectura que procura circunscribirse al ámbito estricto de la ecle- siología, el autor aborda en cinco momentos el fenómeno pentecostal, con el propósito de sacar conclusiones para las relaciones católico-pentecosta- les y para la renovación de la Iglesia católica, fuertemente interpelada por ese fenómeno. Así, partiendo de una caracterización histórica y teológica inicial de los pentecostales, se proporcionan luego elementos acerca de la historia y el modo de implante pentecostal en Argentina, con el objetivo de ofrecer elementos que permitan esbozar una cierta 'eclesiogénesis'. Ese objetivo subyace en el tercer momento al interpretar las razones que, del movimiento inicial llamado a renovar las iglesias en su vida y misión, llevaron de hecho a constituir iglesias o denominaciones pentecostales. En el cuarto momento se busca educir, desde una lectura católica de la realidad vivida en las comunidades pentecostales, los elementos constitutivos de su ser 'iglesias', o quizá mejor, de 'vivir' la Iglesia. Y, por último, se presentan los primeros aportes de una eclesiología pentecostal que, en las últimas décadas, han tenido como autores a teólogos pentecostales.

Abstract: In a reading that tries to circumscribe itself to the strict field of ecclesiolo- gy, the author approaches the Pentecostal phenomenon in five moments, with the purpose of drawing conclusions for Catholic-Pentecostal rela- tions and for the renewal of the Catholic Church, strongly challenged by this phenomenon. Thus, starting from an initial historical and theological characterization of the Pentecostals, elements are then provided about the history and the way of Pentecostal implantation in Argentina, with the aim of offering elements that allow to outline a certain 'ecclesiogenesis'. This objective underlies the third moment when interpreting the reasons that, from the initial movement called to renew the churches in their life and mission, led in fact to constitute Pentecostal churches or denominations. In the fourth moment, it is sought to deduce, from a catholic reading of the reality lived in the Pentecostal communities, the constitutive elements of their being 'churches', or perhaps better, of 'living' the Church. And, finally, the first contributions of a Pentecostal ecclesiology are presented, which, in the last decades, have had Pentecostal theologians as authors.
