Biografía
Daniel Eduardo Vigo nació en Buenos Aires en 1973. Recibió su título de médico en 1998 y completó su especialidad en Medicina Interna en 2003. Obtuvo el Doctorado por la Universidad de Buenos Aires en el área de Ciencias Fisiológicas en 2007. Como visitante Investigador, realizó su formación postdoctoral en la Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Bélgica), participando en el proyecto Mars500 (Academia de Ciencias de Rusia, Agencia Espacial Europea). Actualmente dirige el Laboratorio de Cronofisiología en el Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) y la Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), donde ocupa un puesto como Investigador Independiente. Sus intereses de investigación son el estudio de los ritmos biológicos desde la perspectiva de la teoría de la complejidad; los aspectos cronobiológicos de las funciones autonómicas, emocionales y cognitivas; el ciclo sueño-vigilia en diferentes grupos humanos y enfermedades crónicas complejas; y las ciencias de la vida en el espacio y análogos espaciales.
Daniel Eduardo Vigo was born in Buenos Aires in 1973. He received his medical degree in 1998 and completed his specialty in Internal Medicine in 2003. He obtained a PhD from the University of Buenos Aires in the area of Physiological Sciences in 2007. As a Visiting Research Fellow, he conducted his post-doctoral training at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), being involved in the Mars500 project (Russian Academy of Sciences, European Space Agency). He currently directs the Laboratory of Chronophysiology at the Biomedical Research Institute from the National Research Council (CONICET) and Catholic University of Argentina, where he holds a position as Independent Researcher. His basic research interests are the study of complexity in biological rhythms; the chronobiological aspects of autonomic, emotional and cognitive functions; the sleep-wake cycle in different human groups and complex chronic diseases; and life sciences in space and space analogues.
